Curiosity

I wander through the aspen trees when my eye catches an unusual ice structure trapped between them. My friends are already at the car, but I call out that I’ll be a few minutes longer. Once again, nature has captured my curiosity. As I photograph it, I find myself looking with the wonder of a child. What is this strange form? How did it come to be? Why did nature decide to form this particular shape?

These are the moments I cherish most in the mountains. They invite me to slow down, look closer, and rediscover a curiosity that became quiet during my years in the corporate world which was rule and process driven. That curiosity has become central to how I see and photograph the natural world. It draws me to explore what lies around the next corner and discover wonder in unexpected places. For that, I am deeply grateful to nature—and to the mountains that continue to remind me to slow down, look closer, and remain curious. I hope my photographs invite you to slow down, look closer, and rediscover your own sense of curiosity in nature.
