Driving along one of my favourite mountain roads, my buddy and I pull over. We walk down to the lake to scout out the status of the ice on Spray Lakes for future wild ice skating adventures. We discover that the ice is awful for skating, but we look up to our right and notice the moon is setting. We tell each other that it may sit right on top of Goat Mountain. So, we set up to capture this possibility. Nature was very kind to us this morning. The moon sat perfectly on the peak of Goat Mountain. The sun partnered up to provide incredible soft lighting and deep shadows.
