Mentorship Program

Mentorship has played a huge role in my life, both in the corporate and photography worlds. I am particularly grateful for the mentorship I’ve received over the last few years from a couple of amazing photographers who are now also great friends. Their photos and words of advice have inspired and guided me to be the photographer and person I am today.
I want to continue to pay this back with my own mentorship program, which I started four years ago. Through this free one-year program, my goal is to help two to three photographers accelerate their journey, whether it is as an avid amateur or professional photographer.
Is this for you?
The only requirements are passion and a willingness to push yourself well beyond what you currently do in photography. This program is designed for anyone, at any level, with a passion to pursue the art of photography. In particular, I am keen to work with photographers who have a passion for black and white or landscape photography, or who would describe themselves as a generalist.
The Details:
Goal-Setting
The overall goal is for mentees to significantly advance their journey by the end of the year. We will set goals at our first meeting and will monitor them as best as we can. These 3 to 4 goals are not written in stone; we can adjust as we go along.
Meetings and Field Time
We will meet once per month in person or over Zoom. Depending upon the mentees’ availability and location, we will get out in the field in the Calgary area 2-3 times during the year. If the mentee is not in Calgary, I will do my best to meet up with them if I am nearby.
Access to Lee
As one of my mentees, you’ll be able to ask questions at any time, whether it’s about an image, printing your work, running a creative business or any other aspect of the craft. I will do my best to respond as quickly as I can.
